Monday 26th November - League Duty

Tonight saw the Balconie Team in League action at home to the Dingwall 147A Team.

Tonight's Team was Gram, Mark, Ralph, Tony and Tom, with Peeps as Substitute.

First to play was Gram, who narrowly lost his game, off to a bad start. Mark was next to play and after a very close game, lost to his opponent, the score now sitting at 2-0 to the 147A team. Ralph was next to play, who won his game to cut the gap to 1 down. Tony was up next, and he superbly won his game to tie the score at 2-2. Tom was last to play in the first set of the singles, and he won his game to give the Balconie Boys a 3-2 lead going into the Interval.

After the break, Tom was first to play the second set of singles, but lost his game to level the match again at 3-3. Gram was next to play, and he confidently finished off his opponent to restore our lead. Peeps was up as replacement for Ralph, and he narrowly lost his game, meaning with 2 games to play and the score tied at 4-4, all was still to play for. Tony was up next, and he won his game to give the Balconie the guaranteed draw and it was left to Mark to hopefully put an end to the 147A teams challenge. All did not go to plan, and unfortunately Mark lost his game, to give a final score of 5-5. A great result after being 2-0 down after 2 games, a great fighting spirit showed by the team.
