Eating at the Balconie


We serve fresh traditional food in both our restaurant and bar. You can enjoy a light lunch of soup/sandwich with great fresh coffee or indulge in hearty portions of classics like homemade Burgers, Fish and Chips, Steak Pie, or King Prawn Curry.  We also have a Specials Board which changes daily.

Our chefs also serve up some scottish classics like Chicken stuffed with Haggis wrapped in bacon, set on a mustard and leek mash, with wilted greens and a whisky cream sauce.  Our Specials Board frequently features local seafood and game.  A current favourite is our Oven baked local Venison, served with braised red cabbage and baby roasted potatoes, which is extremely popular with visitors and locals alike.

To finish off your meal we a large selection of liqueur coffees and a fine selection of single malts.

We also have a childrens menu, or can do small portions of our mains for the bigger kids.

Meals are served Monday to Friday from 12-2pm and 5pm-9pm, and all day on a Saturday and Sunday (12-9pm).

Lite Bites

Using the finest Italian Lavazza coffee beans, we are pleased to be able to offer the following:


All of the above are served with chef's homemade tablet.  We also have a selection of homemade cakes available from 9am-5pm.

Takeaway coffees are available all day from 9am.


We can prepare a good selection of classic cocktails, from Daiquiris to Long Island Ice Teas.  Cocktails are served all weekend
